BrightMind Partners Meet in Greece for the Second Transnational Project Meeting
On 3 – 4 September 2026, the partners of the BrightMind – Active Recall for Key Competencies & Classroom Inclusion project gathered in Nafplio, Greece, for the second Transnational Project Meeting of the project.
The meeting was hosted by the 2nd Primary School of Nafplio and brought together representatives of the partner organisations from Spain, Poland, Bulgaria, Greece, Ireland and Italy. The two-day meeting provided an important opportunity for the partnership to review the work completed so far, discuss the development of the project results and coordinate the activities planned for the next stage of BrightMind.

Reviewing progress and developing the BrightMind educational resources
A central part of the meeting was dedicated to the educational practices and resources being developed within the project and the piloting results.
The partners reviewed the progress made in testing and improving the BrightMind learning activities and discussed how the materials could be further improved before their finalisation.
The discussions also focused on the accessibility and inclusiveness of the materials. Since BrightMind aims to support diverse groups of learners, the partnership considered how the resources can respond to differences in age, language level, learning pace and educational needs.
Partners exchanged feedback based on their national contexts and experiences with teachers and students. This collaborative review helped identify areas where activities could be simplified, adapted or supported with clearer instructions, stronger visual elements and additional guidance for teachers.

Preparation of the OER and discussing the ALH
The partners also discussed the next steps in developing the BrightMind Open Educational Resources (OER) and Active Learning Hubs (ALH).
The Polish partner, Ornament, presented the proposed structure and framework of the OER, including its target groups, learning journey and accessibility principles. The discussion helped partners establish a shared understanding of how the educational resources should be organised and made accessible to teachers and learners.
The meeting also addressed the development of the Active Learning Hubs, which will provide opportunities to apply BrightMind methods in practical learning environments. Particular attention was given to connecting these activities with the project’s focus on active learning and classroom inclusion.
Inclusion at the centre of the project
The BrightMind project places particular emphasis on classroom inclusion and on creating learning opportunities that can engage students with different abilities, experiences and learning needs.
During the meeting in Nafplio, partners continued their discussion on how the project resources can better support inclusive teaching. The partnership considered issues such as the clarity of instructions, the use of visual support, the accessibility of activities for students with different language abilities and the possibility of adapting tasks to different classroom situations.
These discussions are particularly important for ensuring that the final BrightMind resources are not only innovative, but also realistic and useful for teachers working in diverse classrooms.

Strengthening cooperation across Europe
The meeting was also an opportunity for the partners to exchange experiences from their respective educational systems and strengthen cooperation within the international project team.
Working together face to face allowed the partners to discuss challenges in greater depth, compare perspectives and make joint decisions regarding the further development of the project.
Transnational meetings such as this one are an important part of the Erasmus+ cooperation process. They allow partners to combine their expertise and ensure that the project results reflect the experiences and needs of educators and learners from different European contexts.

Cultural visit
The programme also included a visit to Palamidi Castle, one of Nafplio’s most famous historical landmarks. Built by the Venetians in the 18th century, the fortress stands on a hill overlooking the city and the Argolic Gulf.
The visit gave partners an opportunity to discover an important part of the region’s history, enjoy panoramic views of Nafplio and spend time together outside the formal meeting sessions. It was also a pleasant way to strengthen personal connections within the international project team.
Moving towards the next stage of BrightMind
With the educational content largely developed, the partnership is now focusing on finalising the design of the materials and preparing their translation into the national languages of the participating countries.
The next stage will also involve developing the content of the BrightMind Open Educational Resources (OER), building on the methods, practical activities and teaching materials created within the project.
The BrightMind partnership would like to thank the 2nd Primary School of Nafplio and the Greek project team for their warm welcome, hospitality and excellent organisation of the meeting.
The two productive days in Nafplio marked another important step in the joint work of the partnership and brought the project closer to the implementation of its educational activities across the participating countries.
