BrightMind Project Kick-Off Meeting in Burgos
The Erasmus+ project BrightMind officially started with a successful Kick-Off Meeting held in Burgos on the 10th and 11th of December 2025. The meeting was organised and coordinated by Colegio Virgen de la Rosa, bringing together all project partners for two intensive and productive days of collaboration, planning, and intercultural exchange.
The attendants to the meeting were two members of each of the BrightMind consortium, composed of the following partner organisations:
- Colegio Virgen de la Rosa (Spain) – Project Coordinator and host.
- Fundacja Ornament (Poland)
- Training Centre for Personal Development (Bulgaria)
- 2nd Primary School of Nafplio (Greece)
- Eurospeak Limited (Ireland)
- Istituto Comprensivo 2 “Riccardo Gulia” Sora (Italy)

The first day began with the reception of the international guests and a warm welcome by the school Principal, followed by a guided visit around the school facilities. Afterwards, all partners introduced their institutions, educational backgrounds, and previous experiences in international projects. These presentations allowed participants to better understand the diversity and strengths of the consortium while establishing the foundations for effective cooperation throughout the project.
The working sessions focused on the project structure, administrative agreements, dissemination strategies, and the organisation of the first work packages. Participants actively exchanged ideas, clarified responsibilities, and discussed the methodologies and objectives that will guide the development of the project over the coming months.
A coffee break with traditional Spanish sweets prepared by the teachers of Colegio Virgen de la Rosa created a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that encouraged informal conversations and networking among participants.
In the evening, the international partners had the opportunity to enjoy sightseeing in Burgos and discover some of the city’s most emblematic monuments, rich cultural heritage, and festive Christmas atmosphere. This cultural experience helped strengthen personal relationships among the participants and promoted intercultural understanding and collaboration.
The second day continued with the remaining project sessions, including detailed discussions on Work Package 2 and the planning of future activities, responsibilities, dissemination actions, and deadlines. The meeting concluded with a final session devoted to defining the next steps and coordination strategies to ensure the successful implementation of the BrightMind project.
The Kick-Off Meeting marked an excellent beginning for the project, creating a strong spirit of cooperation, enthusiasm, and shared commitment among all partners. The consortium now looks forward to beginning the next stages of this exciting European collaboration and to developing innovative educational practices together.
